The 90’s were a great decade for pop culture. It was a simpler time, back when artists had to have talent and parties were more about having a good time and less about posting on Instagram and snapchat. We lived in the moment back then, engaging with our friends and not our phones. Saved By the 90’s brings back the fun of the decade with a totally rad dance party. The event is hosted by Webster Hall, one of New York’s most historic venues. Held in Webster Hall’s Marlin Room, the party gets started by DJ Suga Ray, spinning hit after hit from a list of the very best tracks from the 90’s. His set includes everything from The Backstreet Boys to Biggie Smalls. Once you’re drenched in sweat from dancing to your favorite tunes, get ready to sing along with the Bayside Tigers, a live cover band, with an amazing set list. We nearly lost our voices belting out hits by Green Day, The Spice Girls and Ace of Bass. In between sets we even got to sing along with some our favorite TV theme songs. French Prince of Bel-Air theme song had us shouting to the top of our lungs!

The Real Housewives of New York City sure do know how to let loose and have fun. Their fabulous lives are something that most people could only dream of.  The current season premiered with Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps dining and dancing at the dinner theater and club hybrid SUSHI ROXX (we have this place on our to-do list) and it is no secret that one of the casts favorite late night stops is the exclusive nightclub Beautique.

The 12th Annual A Hamptons Happening marked the 40th Anniversary of the founding of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) by noted oncologist and cancer researcher Samuel Waxman, MD. The event is one of the most attended events in the Hamptons where guests gather to celebrate such an amazing organization. The benefit took place at the residence of Maria and Kenneth Fishel and hosted 40 of the top chefs and restaurants in New York City and the Hamptons. CBS 2 News anchor Chris Wragge served as the host for the 6th consecutive year, while Sandra Lee received honors for her charitable work. Other honorees included New York Times best-selling author and breast cancer survivor; Jayma Cardoso, Founder of the Surf Lodge in Montauk; and Deirdre Quinn, CEO of the luxury fashion company Lafayette 148 New York.

The Chosen Few Celebrates Second Anniversary

by xoJohn

On Monday evening, The Chosen Few celebrated their 2nd anniversary at New York City’s The Rainbow Room. President & Founder Harriette Rose Katz was a gracious host, welcoming guests and later acknowledging the three newest members to the group. Guests mingled and enjoyed the picturesque views from The Rainbow Room while enjoying cocktails and delicious food, like passed hors d’oeuvres, a waffle bar, and Peking Duck. Attendees were also treated to live music from Chosen Few member Total Entertainment, and Chosen Few member Anthony Taccetta of Anthony Taccetta Event Design provided décor elements to further perfect the Rainbow Room’s beauty. We also spotted our dear friend, Keren Botaro belting out classic hits.

Memorial day weekend is the perfect excuse to dust off that sexy outfit and head out for a night on the town. The weather is just right for a moonlit rendezvous at one of New York City’s trendiest nightspots. Though there are many to choose from we recommend Monarch. This rooftop and indoor lounge are located on the 18th floor of the Marriot Courtyard, Herald Square. The location is right in the heart of midtown and offers a great view of the city below. We visited the lounge earlier this week for a quick bite and libations. Having been to Monarch before we were excited to see the new seasonal menu items.

Sunday afternoon we celebrated Harlem’s culinary diversity at Harlem EatUp! Festival, a five-day food festival. Harlem EatUp! Festival, was created by world-renowned chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson and event marketer Herb Karlitz. The duo put their heads together and came up with a concept that showcases the unique foodie scene and all of the fabulous artists Harlem has to offer. The festivities began on Wednesday, May 18th with a series of chef-hosted dinners entitled “Dine in Harlem”.
