The biggest date night of the year is slowly approaching. With just a little under 2 weeks before the main event it is time to start making some reservations or at least exploring options. If you and sugar lips have a sweet tooth we suggest you indulge that urge with a trip to the Sugar Factory. We ventured to Times Square and sampled their Valentine Day menu. This year the menu is full of fun flirty nostalgic options that will satisfy the sugar obsessed kid in you and the booze loving adult. The assortment of items include quirky cocktails with cotton candy and theatrical dry ice, adventurous appetizers with sexy cheese pulls and spicy Cheeto dust, hearty beefy entrees and a selection of decadent sweets.
Love Bubbles and Piggie Barbie– How can you refuse the melt in your moth sugar rush of cotton candy? Love bubbles is a light refreshing mix of Tasha Rose and effervescent sparkling wine and coconut rum topped with cotton candy adding a sweet strawberry finish. For a more tropical option we suggest the Piggie Barbie. It arrives in a cutesy title piggy surrounded by chocolate candies but this ain’t no kiddie drink. This little piggy is full of Casamigos, Tequila, Prosecco and tropical juices.
Sweetheart’s Rose Reverie– Whiskey lovers aren’t forgotten at this love fest. This Whiskey forward cocktail is served in an adorable capped mason jar and features a heady mix of Jack Daniel’s and Rose with notes of strawberry and raspberry.
Be Mine Sampler– Why choose just one when you can have four? This app tray is perfectly sized to share. The assortment of savory treats includes mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders onion rings and Hot Cheeto Mac Pops, with two dipping sauces.
Valentines Sliders- This cute little trio of sliders comes with juicy beef morsels topped with crispy onions, pickles American cheese and perfectly soft festive red buns.
Hot Honey and Pepperoni Flatbread. As an app or an entree you can’t go wrong with cheesy flatbread and pepperoni. Sugar Factory takes it up a notch with the addition of a hot honey drizzle adding a little sweet and heat.
Prime Rib– After the sliders we took things up a notch and got extra beefy with a thick slice of prime rib. This beautiful hunk of meaty goodness is served on top of a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and a few stalks of sautéed asparagus. Don’t forget to pour on some of the delectable au jus for a luxurious bite.
SAVORY SWEETS
Heart Tower of Sweets– Treat your love muffin to an assortment of sweet treats with this tower of delight. The treats include fudgy brownie bites, glittery cookies, chocolates and juicy chocolate covered strawberries.
Be My Sweet Velvet Shake– The Sugar factory has some of the wildest milk shake creations. For this v-day they’ve concocted this insane concoction of vanilla ice cream blended with chocolate chips served in a fudge dipped, candy sprinkled mug topped with red velvet pancakes, a cream filled chocolate cupcake and whipped cream.
For an over the top sugar filled Valentines Day what could be better than the Sugar Factory? Best of all you don’t have to wait for Valentine’s Day to enjoy these dishes, the menu is live right now but not forever. The menu items we’ve mentioned are only available for a short time, so get while the getting is good.
