Housing Works presented “Fashion for Action”. A charitable silent auction event to raise funds for housing, food, medical aid, job training and HIV prevention for more than 20,000 homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS. This four day event is sponsored by Co-chair Derek Lam, Olivia Palermo, HBO, Gilt and Essence Magazine.

Fashion forward, is defined as presumably hip, slick and cool. Encompassing these three components was not a challenge, when Bank of America presented “Fashion Forward”, Benefiting Gay Men’s Health Crisis.
Bank of America is known to be all about community, inclusion and diversity. Therefore, it was only right to include one of the most successful corporations in the country; to be a part of such a miraculous night. Being a global company enables Bank of America to bring worldwide attention to a cause that is a global epidemic.

The Secret Sherry Society in partnership with Fashion Fights Poverty held their secret fashion show this past Thursday. The secret location which was disclosed after an RSVP was at the Altman Building in NYC. In collaboration with Stella Bonds designs, the fashion show consisted of 7 looks inspired by 7 styles of sherry. Silent auction cards were given in Secret Sherry Society gift bags and you could silently bid on one of the looks named after a type of fine sherry.

The essence of “A Magical Evening” was indeed captured, at the Christopher & Dana Reeves Foundation Benefit Dinner for Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Paralysis. Undeniably, this was a night not to be forgotten and an experience to be shared with anyone listening. This benevolent event was held at the prestigious Marriot Hotel in New York City.
