One of our favorite organizations, The American Cancer Society hosted its first ever Taste of Hope Comes to Broadway sponsored by Wells Fargo on Monday, July 24th at 318 West 47th Street, a new condominium by Halsted Property Development Marketing. Taste of Hope was founded in 2005 by the American Cancer Society as a way to celebrate New York dining while raising funds to help the Society’s mission to fight for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. Between the early 1990s and 2013, the Society has seen a 20 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate, which means they have helped to avoid about 1.2million cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations.

The New York Center for Children (NYCC) raised approximately $140,000 at the 22nd Annual Spring Celebration Benefit. The annual benefit was held at Clement Restaurant at the Peninsula Hotel in New York City. The organization celebrated over 20 years of helping children who have experienced abuse achieve their potential. The event featured a Silent Auction where guests bid on coveted gifts and experiences, as well as a live jazz performance by Lucas Pino along with strolling magic by Ben Nemzer. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an impressive silent auction to benefit the charity. Auction items included A Day of Beauty at Angelo David Salon, 18 Hole Golf Round For 4 at Scarsdale Golf Club, and 10 Mind & Body Classes at Exhale Spa.
