Carlos Campos Spring/Summer 2013 Collection: Tailored Monochrome at It’s Finest
Carlos Campos introduced a minimal and monochromatic yet bold Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Milk Studios. The line was inspired by modern designs of Spanish architect and sculptor, Santiago Calatrava, and the minimalist approach proved to be the right direction for the Honduran-born, New York-based designer.
One of the beauties of autumn is the view of rich colors in nature. Carlos Campos incorporated bursts of deep and warm hues, which reminds us of tinted autumnal leaves, in his Fall/Winter 2012 collection, held at MADE on February 12th. Love in the Time of Cholera, a book written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, inspired Carlos to blossom masculine romanticism within his sharply tailored menswear garments.

Designer extraordinaire Carlos Campos is set to debut his Spring 2012 collection on September 11th during New York Fashion Week. Here is a sneak peek sketch of the new collection. Campos has a clear image of the man wearing his garments: “I like to think of him as a clean rock star”. He envisions his target female as someone who is “successful, aggressive and has her own personal style”. We couldn’t agree more. We will have a full runway report following the show.

The store was designed by Daniel Schillber and Carlos Zedillo who did an outstanding job with making the store feel inviting. We love the structures and overall concept.
