Cat Footwear took over New York City’s oldest whiskey distillery, Kings County Distillery, in the Brooklyn Navy Yard to showcase and launch their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, and to preview what’s new for Spring/Summer 2014.
Cat’s “Earthmovers Campaign” was on display, which highlights a selection of inspiring individuals who are doing their part to move the earth in their everyday lives. Six Earthmovers were featured in the runway show including Gina Giorgio (aka DJ Gene), Luke Lambert (Crew Chief of the #31 Caterpillar Chevrolet), Alexi Panos & Tennille Amor (Co-Founders of the non-profit: E.P.I.C. which stands for “Everyday People Initiating Change”), Tyler Hilton (Singer/Songwriter & Actor), and Nicole Austin (the Master Blender of Kings County Distillery). The fashion show featured 31 looks, ranging from Cat’s iconic “Colorado” work boot, to key styles from both the men’s and women’s AW13 and SS14 collections.
Earlier this week, Linkin Park and Sebago celebrated the launched of collaborative boot. Linkin Park and Sebago partnered to create this limited edition boot that retails nationwide beginning today. A portion of proceeds go to Linkin Park’s charity Music for Relief, which benefits victims of natural disasters.
Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn of Linkin Park stepped out last night to celebrate the launch at an exclusive event at the LES’s Reed Space. Joe Hahn surprised the audience with a guest appearance on the turn tables!

CAT launched its Men’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection this week at their showroom in New York City. As stated in their current look book “for nearly two decades, CAT footwear has been designing and engineering quality footwear that lives up to the hard-working reputation of the CAT brand.” With that said I went into the event expecting tan work boots and was shown the complete opposite as soon as I walked in the door.
With the summer nearly half over the time has come to consider the hottest looks for fall. Last week Ugg, a trademark of Decker Outdoor, brought a little Autumn into our lives at their Fall 2012 preview. The soiree was held on the 21st floor of the luxurious Chelsea Glasshouses Guest mingled enjoying refreshments as well as the magnificent view from the rooftop oasis. The looks were expertly displayed throughout the venue as well as on a group of male and female models. The well dressed models were each styled by a leading blogger in the latest Ugg apparel and foot wear. Though the brand is most noted for its all weather styles and the infamous “Moon” boot the looks showcased at the event take a very interesting and sophisticated turn.
