Location: 50 Avenue B, New York, NY 10009

Cuisine: American

Best Dish: Two Words- Lobster Tacos. These are an amazing hybrid between a lobster roll and a fish taco. The crunchy shell holds up well with the large chunks of delicious lobster meat.

Overall: It’s more than a bar it’s an event. Despite its horror themed appearance Lovecraft is a fun relaxed place with a friendly staff and really good food. It’s a good place to enjoy after work or with a few friends. The space also makes a great venue for a first date the decor alone will give you something to talk about and if you’re lucky, Troy will be there to supply the soundtrack to your new love story.

Location: 255 5th Avenue

Cuisine: American/Italian Steakhouse

Best Dish: We highly recommend the porterhouse for two. It was filling and tender, the way a good steak should be. For a lighter meal try the seafood pasta. The sauce is decadent and the seafood is well done.

Overall: An easy going yet sophisticated eatery with great service and a delicious menu. As far as steakhouses go, it is one of the very best in the city. The owners pride themselves on their amazing hospitality and a well-executed menu.

Location: 57 East 57th Street (Ty Bar at The Four Seasons Hotel)

Items: 6 Cocktails, 4 Small Plates, 2 Desserts

Best Drink: Though we thoroughly enjoyed one of the most luxurious Old Fashions ever created the star of the night was the Meridian. The zesty citrus and warm cinnamon flavors are a winning combination

Atmosphere: The atmosphere is relaxed luxury.

Overall: Despite the opulent surroundings the vibe is very comfortable and easy. The bar services a unique mix of ages, so don’t expect a wild night of drunken debauchery. Instead go with the intent to eat, drink and be merry.

Location: 33 East 60th Street

Cuisine: Chinese (Beijing Style)

Best Dish: The ribs are by far some of the best we’ve had thus far.

Overall: Despite its glamorous fans and dress code, Philippe Chow is a comfortable casual dining experience. Though the potential celebrity sightings are a fun and voyeuristic reason to visit the food and exemplary service is what will keep you coming back.

It’s been a while since we last stopped by Haru Sushi, and boy have we missed it! Haru Sushi is one of the hottest sushi restaurants around, boosting elegant decor, superb services, and of premium sushi. Last week, we stopped by their oh so chic and trendy Gramercy Park location for a fun night food and cocktails. Guests of the evening were whisked off to a private room upstairs from the main floor to enjoy a sampling of the new seasonal offerings. For the Spring/Summer season, Haru’s Executive Chef, Steven Ferdinand added 5 new protein-packed, beach body building seasonal food items to the menu, along with 2 amazing cocktails. While waiting for the first course we enjoyed the Strawberry Margarita, a sweeter fresher version of its more traditional recipe. The strawberry cocktail features, Avión tequila with agave nectar, fresh strawberries and for an herbaceous touch basil.

Cuisine:American (Brunch)

Best Dish: We love Eggs Benedict! The Eggs Benedict at the hotel did not disappoint. The sauce was creamy and decadent with a sharp citrus flavor.

Overall: An very impressive hotel to say the least, brunch is a grand way to start your weekend. Of course, with any luxurious dining experience, you can expect to pay a little more. But who cares when you’re getting an awesome experience at a fine establishment.

Location: 1278 3rd Avenue

Cuisine: American Steakhouse

Best Dish: The steak was absolutely amazing thick and flavorful, second only to the Cavatelli. The pasta’s rich sauce and texture are a must have.

Overall: TBar is a comfortable place with great service and appetizing food.  The beautiful surroundings and soft lighting make it an ideal and impressive date place.

On a bustling block on the upper east side lies an oasis. T Bar Steak and Lounge has been making its mark on the local food scene with fresh unassuming classically delicious food. We ventured to the beautiful steakhouse a little over a week ago to sample some of their dishes. The night began as always with a perusal of the menu. With restaurant week in full swing the space offered its ala carte menu as well a prix fixe menu of their most popular dishes. We spent just a few short moments looking over the goods before getting into our first courses.
