We’ve enjoyed The Laughing Cow Spreadable cheese for years.  The spreadable cheese wedges are a familiar snack usually enjoyed with crackers and fruit. This year the good people of The Laughing Cow have come with a fun new way to enjoy the flavors of their delectable smooth cheeses. We spent a fun afternoon at New York City’s Trapeze School to celebrate the launch of Cheese Dippers from the delicious brand. Cheese Dippers are a new portable snack of Laughing Cow Cheese and breadsticks. The convenient little snack is designed to be eaten on the go, you can take them anywhere. This portable snack is an excellent source of calcium and each serving delivers 4 grams of protein.

Another year of The Village Voice’s Choice Eats in Manhattan has wrapped up and just like the years before it, it was spectacular. This year marked year nine of this fun event and with it came fifteen new restaurants to add to the growing list. Added this year was: Belle Reve, Butter Lane, Cabalito Pupuseria, Dough, ESH, The Gander, Grandaisy Bakery, Javelina Tex-Mex, Littleneck, Nha Minh, Pearl and Ash, Rosemary’s, Sheep Station, Sugar Couture, and Untamed Sandwiches. And that doesn’t include the original 50 restaurants that were on the bill from previous years!!

This past weekend the second annual All-Star Chef Classic took place at LA Live. On Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Grill & Chill presented by DCS and Stella Artois. The event deck at LA Live was transformed into a food carnival. As you entered the event you were handed a ticket booklet. Each ticket within the booklet represented a chef and their dish. Throughout the venue there were cooking stations that corresponded to each ticket and whenever you were ready to have the next food experience you would tear the ticket, place it in the appropriate bucket, and receive a plate.All-Star Chef Classic 2016 Grill and Chill (2)

A Taste of Dum Pukht at Awadh

by Desha Winborne

Dum Pukht is a cooking technique developed in the Awadh region of India. Using a tightly sealed pot, vegetables and meats are prepared over low heat with a mixture of herbs and spices.  Slow cooking allows the flavors to develop and mature to their highest potency. We experienced Dum Pukht via a small intimate soiree in Awadh, an upscale Indian eatery on NYC’s upper west side.  Guests enjoyed specially prepared Kebobs, an array of roasted meats and Biryanis which are standard for a proper Dum Pukht feast. All dishes were crafted by accomplished restauranteur and chef Gaurav Anand.

KTCHN Gets An Italian Makeover

by Desha Winborne

Location: 508 West 42nd street

Cuisine: American and Italian

Best Dish: Can you ever go wrong with homemade pizza? The cheese was gooey and thick beneath generous slices of tender prosciutto. This is one of the best slices we’ve had in a while and more than worth the trip to Hell’s Kitchen.

Overall: KTCHN is an impressive space that is ideal for a hot date or a relaxed meal with friends. The atmosphere is casual and lively adding to its appeal making it a warm and inviting venue for your next outing.

Going Crazy For GRAZE

by xoJohn

We only heard about Graze a few weeks ago when we stopped by their NYC headquarters for a fun loft party. We were immediately smitten with their concept and original idea. So what is Graze? It’s a subscription service; Graze snack boxes are filled with nutritious (and delicious) treats. Each graze box is customized based on your taste and dietary preferences, which makes it very unique. Our personal favorites were the dried fruits and mini popcorn snacks.graze-variety-table

A Panettone is a traditional Christmas cake. The raisin filled confection is typically served warm with a dessert wine or warm beverage. One of the leading brands of Panettone cake is Bauli. For over 60 years, Bauli has provided fresh baked goods to the masses. The brand began with basic specialty cakes and holiday treats before expanding into ready to eat snacks and everyday items.
