As you know we love DIFFA and everything they do to support and educate us about HIV/AIDS. Since being founded in 1984, DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) has mobilized the immense resources of the design communities to provide over $40 million to hundreds of AIDS service organizations nationwide. We had the pleasure of attending the 15th annual Dining by Design New York Gala Dinner.

Every year the creme de la creme of fashion designers, interior decorators and culinary wizards gather for DIFFA.  Together they create an experience that combines art, music food and philanthropy. DIFFA also known as Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS  has been hosting the Dining by Design event for 15 years.

It was a special evening for amfAR and presenting sponsor, Hublot, when Roberto Cavalli and others were honored for leading the global struggle against HIV/AIDS. The black-tie benefit, which was hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker, featured a dinner, auction, and special performances by Janelle Monae and Theophilus London

US Congressman Jerold Nadler, New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn who proudly serves as an openly gay speaker and Senator Charles E. Schumer and many more in office who graced the eleventh Human Rights Campaign Gala held at the majestic Waldorf Astoria Hotel, for facilitating the process that made it possible for Governor Andrew M. Cuomo to pass the same sex marriage bill last year, thus making New York State the largest to recognize it.

On December 1 at the Tourneau TimeMachine on East 57th Street, luxury watch company Baume & Mercier hosted a private celebration benefiting the Love146 charity organization. Love146 works to end child sex slavery and exploitation around the globe. Attendees were surrounded by watches from over 100 famous brands including Baume & Mercier, Rolex, Patek Philippe and Cartier. Guests had the opportunity to view a photo essay by Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Carolyn Cole.

September 22nd, The VH1 Save The Music Foundation continued the Songwriters Music Series at the Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles with an acoustic performance by Grammy Award winning musician, Colbie Caillat, and one of Billboard’s 2011 “Artists to Watch,” Andy Grammer. Other guests included Carrie Keagan, Mark Salling,with music by DJ Rick Rude.We had the opportunity to speak with Grammer moments before his performance; we chatted about his musical influences, VH1 Save The Music Foundation, and touring with Colbie Callait.
