On Saturday night, Tina Knowles hosted her second annual WACO, Wearable Art Gala at Hotel Alexandria in Los Angeles where Kim Crawford Wine was being poured. The WACO to Wakanda themed gala played host to a bevy of A-Listers, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the community.
Created and distributed by Sauvage, Comsi Comsa Apple Sparkling Wine, is an all natural, gluten-free and kosher sparkling wine. Not having ever heard of or seen another, I simply had to get my hands on a bottle of Comi Comsa, French for “Like This, Like That.” This is the little story of how I absolutely fell in love with this 100% apples champagne.
Well, let’s start with what you’re probably thinking, which was what was going on in my mind before I tried it…how does one make apple champagne taste as good as the traditional thing?

On Saturday, September 23rd we spent a sun-drenched day enjoying the 2017 Greenwich Wine + Food Festival, presented by Serendipity Magazine. Held at Greenwich’s Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, the event introduces brands, restaurants, and foodies to each other via a day of demonstrations, workshops, and tastings. The day began with a Grand Tasting, where vendors offered samples of their best dishes. Restaurants and caterers from all over Connecticut presented innovative fresh flavors to the hungry guests. The dishes ranged from tacos to cupcakes, covering a wide range of tastes. One of our favorite bites of the day was Back 40 Kitchen’s delectable beef cheek taco.
Last night, E!, ELLE & IMG celebrated a night of personal style with a star-studded event serving Ruffino Wines at Chinese Tuxedo. Adam Stotsky, President of E! Entertainment, Robbie Myers, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE and Mark Shapiro, Co-President of WME/IMG were joined by Personal Style Award honorees Kate Bosworth, Tracee Ellis Ross, Paris Jackson, Sophie Auster, Carolyn Murphy, Amanda de Cadenet, Aurora James and Casey Legler.
Cruising along the Hudson is one of the things we look forward to every spring. The view of the infamous NYC skyline and the tranquility of sailing is an experience that never gets old. A few weeks ago we upgraded our usual cruise, with a wine and cheese pairing class aboard Classic Harbor Line‘s Manhattan II. This particular cruise is about 2 hours long and features wines from all over the world paired with artisan cheeses all presented by Wendy Crispell, a certified wine and cheese educator.
One of the highlights of our social calendar is the Sun Wine Fest, an annual celebration of wine and spirits. This Mohegan Sun hosted event, showcases adult beverages from all over the country. This year’s festival marked the first year of its rebranding as The Sun Wine and Food Fest. The celebration included more vendors than years past as well as a focus on food and the art of cooking. The festival is broken down into an action packed weekend of demonstrations, parties, and tastings. This year we attended the Saturday Grand Tasting as well as Sunday Brunch with Chef Mario Batali. The celebrated Batali was but one of several celebrity chefs in attendance. Aaron Sanchez, Rocco DiSpirito, Michelle Ragussis, and Roble Ali were also on hand providing demos and mixing in the hordes of foodies and beverage connoisseurs.
Last night, Ocean Drive magazine celebrated their highly anticipated 24th Anniversary Issue with cover star and glamorous beauty, Olivia Culpo. South Beach’s hottest new entertainment playground, Ricky’s South Beach, hosted Publisher Courtland Lantaff and Editor-in-Chief Jared Shapiro who welcomed the multi-hyphenate model, actress, social media sensation and fashion and beauty influencer to celebrate the magazine’s anniversary and her Ocean Drive cover debut. Culpo joins a long list of icons who have graced the magazine’s anniversary past covers including Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Eva Longoria, Niki Taylor, Ashley Benson, Jenna Dewan Tatum, and more.
