On Saturday night, Tina Knowles hosted her second annual WACO, Wearable Art Gala at Hotel Alexandria in Los Angeles where Kim Crawford Wine was being poured. The WACO to Wakanda themed gala played host to a bevy of A-Listers, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the community.
The Gala’s Honorary Chairperson, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter arrived with husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy, both donning a beautiful gold gown. Mother and WACO founder, Tina Knowles greeted the Carter family before heading into the ballroom for the program that Get Out actor, Lil Rel Howery MC’d. Jay Z presented his mother, Gloria Carter, with the Everyday People Award, giving a heartfelt speech. Beyonce was given a special honor and was gifted with the Humanitarian Award. Singer duo Chloe x Halle ended the gala covering Beyonce’s “I Was Here”.
Solange Knowles and Bianca Lawson were seen mingling with family where Jay Z was seen congratulating Richard Lawson on a successful night. Actor Samuel L Jackson was chatting and snapping photos with Magic Johnson and Cookie Johnson while Black Panther breakout star, Winston Duke took photos with fans. Lala Anthony, Tyler Perry, Holly Robinson Peete, Lisa Raye McCoy, Angela Rye, and Kandi Burruss also attended the WACO Gala.
