Girard-Perregaux was proud to partner up with Susan and David Rockefeller for the NYC premiere of the environmental documentary “Mission of Mermaids”, and for the limited edition launch of the SeaHawk 1000 Big Blue watch.
Guests included Gayle King, Almudena Fernandez, Andy Sharpless, Niles Rodgers, Nina Manuel, and others enjoyed the viewing of the film followed by a special presentation by Girard-Perregaux CEO, Michele Sofisti. Michele presented Susan and David with two GP Big Blue watches in honor of their environmental efforts. “People like Susan and David work as our guardian angels, always reminding us of the importance of protecting our planet,” said Sofisti. “We are honored to be working with them and hope that together we will shed more light on the issue of ocean health and its protection.”
After the screening, mythical mermaids dressed in gorgeous gowns, Girard-Perregaux watches, and Susan Rockefeller jewelry greeted guests amid a sea of light and projections of Ricardo Cisnero’s ocean-inspired work. Mermaids passed Susan Rockefeller stainless steel straws, engraved with the night’s “Protect what is Precious” theme, to discourage single-use plastic. Guests all parted with unique gifts including an OPI nail polish kit with limited edition colors Mermalade, Sand Castle and Beauty and the Beach created specifically for the occasion.
The Girard-Perregaux watch retails for $10,900.
