In Yellow is Forbidden, Pietra Brettkelly follows the designer after that time as she moves through every detail to become an invited member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture – a society so exclusive only twenty-one members currently exist today. In this documentary, Brettkelly intended to tell the story of loss through the decline of haute couture, but the more powerful storyline that is quietly unearthed is the duality that exists within the designer’s world.

The Tribeca Film Festival has begun and this year John Legend and Sara Bareilles made an appearance in “Tribeca Talks: Storytellers” where Sara interviewed/discussed with John about his life and career. Starting off Sara asked John about how music came into his life as a child. John started learning to play the piano when he was five and was actively involved in music at church. It wasn’t till he was older that he began to listen to genres other than Gospel and Contemporary Christian music because that was all that was played in his house. His parents divorced when he was young and from there he was able to rebel a bit and start listening to other genres.

WHAT: Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Jacqueline Bissett, Monika Bacardi, Phillipa Soo, Steven Pasquale, Gus Birny, Andrea Iervolino, among others celebrated 2018 Tribeca Film premiere of Blue Night at the official after-party. SJP arrived to a frenzy of photogs outside; once inside she greeted guests with a smile and snapped a few photos before mingling with her fellow castmates. The party was hosted by Nespresso. Nespresso served up delicious coffee-infused cocktails and bites for guests throughout the evening.
