CMJ 2010 | Interview with Peter Hadar

by Dana Bingham

As CMJ came to a close, the real marathon began as I scrambled to catch as many concerts as I possible could. Lucky for me I only needed one artist to sum up my 2010 CMJ experience, Peter Hadar. I first came across Peter Hadar in 2008 on Love Will off of Ra-Re Valverde’s A Beautiful Mess album. His smooth voice made me take note of the singer/songwriter who as written for the likes of Joe, Carl Thomas, Eric Roberson, to name a few. With his single Full Time Lover, Peter is gearing up for the release of a new album Take Off Victoria expected out Spring 2011.

Check out JSD’s interview with the “cool weirdo”, Peter Hadar as we discuss everything from music and fashion to Miles Davis and Jean-Michel Basquiat. While you wait for the release of his new album, be sure you download is other available projects She’s Four Months, Well Dressed for the Art Show, and Memories of the Heart.

Calibro 35

Anyone who has had the opportunity to engulf themselves into the CMJ Music Marathon can honestly say it’s almost like world traveling without needing an airplane. CMJ covers all music genres from all over the country and other parts of the world. One thing is for sure language may divide us, but music can always bring us to a common ground.

You never know what to expect at CMJ. There are over thousands of bands and solo artists from all types of genres performing, how do you pick? How about just seeing a band that has it all: the edge of Rock, the swagger of Hip Hop, and the fun of Pop? Down With Webster is not your average band! If you haven’t heard of them now, don’t worry, this Canadian band is slowly invading the United States.

The Marcc Collection isn’t your average, round-the-way apparel and definitely not for the weak-minded and fearful. Each product is unique and strategically created for the bold and beautiful of fashion. With a hard-focus on the daring and adventurous crowd, this line is designed for the strong, self-assured elites.

Marc Clark, the creative genius behind the The Marcc Collection is by no means a rookie. He’s worked, lived and breathed fashion for over ten years. He’s coordinated the hottest fashion events, directed countless fashion shows, managed retail stores, and worked with numerous charity organizations including Teens Count and Russell Simmons Rush Philanthropic Organization.
