Danilo Gabrielli debuted his Fall/Winter 2012 line on February 9 at Nolcha Fashion Week: New York. The Alvin Ailey Studio space captured attention before the show began with floor to ceiling windows showcasing the city’s twinkling night time skyline and a violin soloist playing selections from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons.” Gabrielli’s smart, sexy well tailored collection inspired by legendary 1940’s Hollywood stars stole the show.

The dramatic, minimalist setting at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center provided the perfect backdrop to launch the Fall/Winter 2012 line of Houghton, a new RTW collection designed by Katharine Polk, on February 9 at New York Fashion Week. Soft hued clothes in white, tan, cream and blush juxtaposed against red-lipped models accentuated Polk’s sophisticated streamline creations. Each piece had an effortless flow that exuded a sense of romance intertwined with a modern sensibility.

Moscow born and Manhattan based designer, Katya Leonovich, said, “America, America, America,” was the inspiration her Spring 2012 collection presented on September 11, 2011. Bringing together silk, leather and denim, Leonovich created a spectrum of women’s and men’s pieces that are both rough and soft with edgy tailoring that builds upon her couture training.
