The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards have descended on New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The show is always over the top because of its crazy moments, highly anticipated moments, and of course fashion. Let’s take a look at the good, bad, and ugly moments from Sunday night’s red carpet.

Ever since we first saw her “Pokerface”, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta has captivated, titillated, confused and delighted fans (and haters) with her controversial style. A style which goes well beyond her lyrical and musical abilities often manifesting itself in some insane visual spectacle. At any event to which she is invited Lady Gaga creates a frenzy, igniting controversy and sparking dialogue. Say what you will but this young woman is a designer’s dream. Most fashion designers are tethered by standards and the bottom line but when working with the Lady anything goes, endless yards of fabric, feathers, rhinestones and even raw meat!

Was it just me or was a this year’s telecast one of the most boring in recent history? In light of last years controversy it seemed everyone was looking to play it safe, all except Mr. West who gave a knockout performance that screamed “You be you and let ‘Ye be ‘Ye”. It appeared as though almost everyone invited just rolled out of bed, off the sofa or in some cases out of the gutter and onto the white carpet.
