On Tuesday, The Italy America Chamber of Commerce (IACC) held their 8th annual Ospitalita Italiana: The Authentic Italian Table. The event brought tastemakers, media, and foodies together for an evening of delicious Italian cuisine and wines.  The party was held at the Hudson Mercantile and featured 13 of the finest Italian restaurants in the city.  The restaurants were handpicked as the best in New York and have received the highly coveted “Seal of Quality Award”. The award is high praise as it is honored by Italy’s National Institute of Tourism and only recognizes restaurants who provide a high quality, authentic Italian dining experience.

Padma Lakshmi, host and executive producer of Bravo’s James Beard Award-winning and Emmy award–winning Top Chef, will be the guest of honor at this year’s Chefs & Champagne on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Lakshmi is in good company, previous honorees include Julia Child, Martha Stewart, and Daniel Boulud, among others.

Lakshmi is a savvy businesswoman, having had multiple companies of her own, including the home décor line, The Padma Collection; and Padma’s Easy Exotic, a collection of frozen rice, lentils, and other culinary products. Last year, Lakshmi became an ambassador for the ACLU, focusing on women’s reproductive health and immigration issues. She is also co-founder of the Endometriosis Foundation of America. When asked about the prestigious honor, Lakshmi said, “I am excited to be joining the ranks of previous guests of honor such as Julia Child and Martha Stewart to support the foundation’s mission to make America’s food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone. Bringing attention to JBF scholarship, women’s leadership, and other impact programs aligns with many of the causes that are close to my heart.”

The annual fundraiser, which is held at Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, New York, is one of the most highly anticipated culinary events of the summer. During Chefs & Champagne, guests get the chance to sample food and drinks from more than 35 chefs, beverage masters, and artisanal purveyors. Champagne Boizel and Wölffer Estate wines will be served through the evening. The New York Center For Children (NYCC) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1995 with the support of the late Broadway producer Marty Richards and philanthropist Georgette Mosbacher, NYCC is a child-friendly Center, providing free, comprehensive evaluation and therapy services to victims of child abuse and their families. NYCC also offers professional training on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of child abuse. All of the programs and services to children and families at NYCC are completely free of charge.

WHAT: Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Jacqueline Bissett, Monika Bacardi, Phillipa Soo, Steven Pasquale, Gus Birny, Andrea Iervolino, among others celebrated 2018 Tribeca Film premiere of Blue Night at the official after-party. SJP arrived to a frenzy of photogs outside; once inside she greeted guests with a smile and snapped a few photos before mingling with her fellow castmates. The party was hosted by Nespresso. Nespresso served up delicious coffee-infused cocktails and bites for guests throughout the evening.

Stony Brook University Honors Dorothy Lichtenstein

Nearly 700 guests gathered on Wednesday evening at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers to honor one of America’s most dedicated and energetic art and education benefactors, Dorothy Lichtenstein, widow of famed artist Roy Lichtenstein at the annual Stars of Stony Brook University Gala.

This years gala raised a record-breaking 7.1 million dollars in support of student scholarships and a featured academic program of excellence. Dorothy Lichtenstein has been Stony Brook Foundation, Inc. Trustee since 2008, and personally donated 5 million dollars.

The evening started with a cocktail hour at sunset featuring delicious passed hors-d’oeuvres featuring crispy duck wontons and freshly baked flatbread. Guests were treated to a live jazz ensemble and scenic views of the Hudson River.

Celebs Spotted at Tao x Revolve – Desert Nights

TAO Group has partnered with retailer Revolve for an invite-only after-hours party at #REVOLVEfestival surrounding the world’s biggest music festival. AO x REVOLVE – DESERT NIGHTS kicked off on Friday night with sounds by Mel Debarge and Chase B, a surprise performance by rapper Nav, and interactive brand activations with presenting partners Palms Casino Resort and PUMA.
