After completing your college course, the next step leading to a career in the fashion world is an internship.  Both paid and unpaid versions are available and it’s up to the individual to work out what is going to be practical for them.  An internship with a big name brand can offer fantastic opportunities to get up close at top catwalk shows and to add a name that will really stand out in that all important resume; however, working with a smaller company often means there is a better chance of being hired when the internship is over, and of being remembered when networking opportunities arise.
