At first glance it would seem that this film is a sequel to 2011’s “The First Avenger” but it is more like a sequel to 2012’s Avengers as the story takes place after the battle in the Big Apple. Several references are made to this fight and Stark enterprises is mentioned more than once. Many of our favorite critics credit this film with laying the groundwork and building the anticipation for the next Avenger’s film. If this film is only the intro the next Avengers will make box office history! This was one of the most enjoyable movies of the past few months. Though the story is familiar, the twists and turns along the way are enough to keep the audience entertained. This action-packed adventure is filled with death-defying stunts and amazing battle scenes. No action film is complete without a great car chase and viewers get that and much more. The epic car chase with Nick Fury vs Everybody is one that will surely be remembered. Fury is the part Samuel L. Jackson was born to play. His cool expression and intensity is electrifying. He is also a comic genius delivering one-liners with perfect comedic timing. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha Romanoff aka the “Black Widow”, and when she isn’t riding Rogers about his dating she’s kicking serious henchman ass. Sparks fly between the hero and the sexy spy adding just enough romance without any pretentious sap. There is a great deal of violence but it’s a superhero film so there’s no gore, its good for the little action figure in your life. Viewers will not be disappointed you get every cliché, every pointless fight, hundreds of henchmen with horrible aim, corny lines and plot holes wrapped up in a high octane explosive bow. It’s everything you want in a movie and so much more. Be sure to stay tuned after the film for a sneak peek at the next Avengers film!
The movie hits theaters this Friday!
