Celebrating 20 Years of Soho Cigar Bar

by xoJohn

Last night, New York City was chilly but at Soho Cigar Bar, the atmosphere was warm, cozy, and inviting as the Cigar hotspot celebrated its 20th Anniversary. Soho Cigar Bar began as Circa Tabac and has the vibes of a 1920’s speakeasy with plush leather furnishings and art deco inspired décor. Over 150 guests packed the bar where everyone indulged in the finest cigars, signature cocktails, delicious food, and top-notch service. Even owner Lee Ringelheim and GM Michael Dounoulis, who is the only certified Cigar Sommelier in the state, greeted guests and made sure everyone was having a good time.

Toasting To The Holidays at Harrys of London

by xoJohn

Harrys of London’s New York City flagship hosted an invitation-only holiday party, “Harrys of London Bar” to celebrate the festive season and the introduction of the Fall/Winter 2018 Collection to New York City’s fashion scene. “Harrys of London Bar”, a spin on a London private club, was a holiday shopping experience celebrating the contemporary British footwear brand as the shoe fit for New York City’s high society.

Clinton Hall 36 Opens

by xoJohn

Our friends at The Lure Group have opened another Clinton Hall location in Midtown. The 7,000 square foot venue spans two floors and has a capacity for 450 guests, making it their largest location to date. I personally loved the lounge-style vibe of the new location. As you first enter, you can’t help but notice massive floor to ceiling mural by artist Tristan Eaton. There’s also the ability to play a Word Search game on one of the walls in the venue or a giant game of upright Chess. Like their other locations, Clinton Hall 36 has all of your favorite games like Oversized Uno, Giant Jenga, Connect 4 and other nostalgic classics.

Slate NY Gets An Upgrade

by xoJohn

Since 2000, Slate NY has been the go-to hot spot in the heart of Chelsea. It seems like every time I walk by, there is always a line of young partygoers eager to get inside. I’ve happened upon Slate a few times in recent years and had a good time. I was eager to see the new digs when I heard they were undergoing a $2 million dollar renovation. I would describe the new and improved Slate as an adult playground. The 16,000 square foot venue now has multiple private rooms, three bowling lanes, a karaoke room, a BYOB (Be Your Own Bartender) pouring station with 20 adult beverages on tap, and a 20-foot slide to get partygoers from the top floor to ground below without having to lift a foot.
