On Thursday, artist Bentley Meeker celebrated the opening of “Exploring Light,” a show of his new illuminated sculptural works, presented by Garvey|Simon gallery at a pop-up space in the Hudson Yards district of Manhattan.
Congratulations are in order to Ryan Gander, the talented artist won the first-ever $20,000 Pommery Prize.
His artwork Het Spel (My neotonic ovoid contribution to Modernism), 2019, presented by Lisson Gallery was chosen among 9 artists in this year’s edition of Platform, curated by Sally Tallant, Executive Director of the Queens Museum in New York.

New York’s Patti Grabel is a well-known artist who creates her magic in her Water Mill, NY studio. One of her pieces was included in a 2017 benefit event supporting Michael Bolton Charities. Her work Musical Spoons (2017) is in the private collection of Sound Point Capital located in the Seagram building at 375 Park Avenue, New York, NY. Musical Spoons was also selected for the Museum of Arts and Design’s 60th anniversary Diamond Jubilee MAD Ball as part of their silent auction. Grabel’s accolades don’t stop there, her latest collection of timeless pieces, Causing a Stir, are now on display at Chase Edwards Contemporary. This is her second exhibition at the studio.

Founded in 2014 by Sophie Bonvin, The Collector is a Geneva-based line of unique handbags and accessories crafted from the best exotic skins, produced with sound design principles, excellence, and integrity at a competitive price point for a sophisticated and quality-driven clientele. Bonvin is taking her line to the next level by collaborating with Bill Claps, an artist who hails from New Jersey and was trained at Harvard University. He also studied painting and drawing at the Art Students League in both New York City and Florence, Italy. This collaboration was a perfect match.

MvVO ART announced a call for submissions to AD ART SHOW, its newest art venture, during a reception at Y&R. Artists are invited to submit their portfolio of contemporary paintings, photography, sculpture, art on paper, mixed media, and video art via the MvVO ART website.
