Patsy’s Celebrates 75 Years of Deliciousness

Patsy’s, the original, family owned and operated Italian restaurant at 236 West 56th Street in Manhattan, has been a legendary dining destination in New York’s Theatre District since 1944 when it was founded by Pasquale “Patsy” Scognamillo.

Patsy’s has been known for years as Frank Sinatra’s favorite restaurant and, in fact, his family still enjoys dining at Patsy’s whenever they are in town. In addition to Sinatra and family, Patsy’s has become a favorite with countless stars on both the east and west coast who have come to regard Patsy’s as the mecca of Italian fine dining. Some of Patsy’s high profile patrons include Al Pacino, Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks, Madonna, George Clooney, Sean “Diddy” Combs, David Letterman, Oprah Winfrey, Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Lopez, Barbara Streisand, Tony Bennett, Robert DeNiro, Michael Buble, Don Rickles, Josh Groban, Jacklyn Smith, Phyllis George, Calvin Klein, Jerry Seinfeld, James Gandolfini, Christie Brinkley, Jon Bon Jovi, Liza Minelli, Chris Noth, Tony Danza, Farrah Fawcett, Kate Hudson, Chevy Chase, Cheryl Ladd, and Patty LaBelle, to name several.

Must-Have: Chocolates and all things chocolate are a must when visiting. The chocolates come in several shapes and flavors including truffles, bars, and ganache.

Overall: A charming chocolate shop with a bar in the rear. Perfect for an early date night, brunch, or lunch date.

wagamama Murray Hill Opens Today!

Today, wagamama is opening its third New York City location. The new location is in the heart of the city just a few blocks from Grand Central Station. wagamama is a popular British chain of Asian restaurants that began in the UK over 20 years ago. Its humble beginnings spawned a massive empire of over 120 locations spread out over 20 countries.  Prior to the official grand opening, we had the honor of attending an exclusive dinner at the new Murray Hill location. The evening was hosted by Executive Chef Steven Mangleshot with special guest, vegan chef Gaz Oakley.

Best Dish: The crab stuffed fluke was divine but the star of the evening was the tuna nachos. The crispy tempura and flesh tuna made for an unforgettable bite.

Cost: $$$

Overall: A rustic eatery with a refined menu of regional American cuisine.
