Pretty little kitty Victoria is abandoned in an alleyway where she comes face to face with a unique tribe known as the Jellicle Cats. She arrived on the most important night of the year, as the Jellicle Cats prepare for their annual ball. Each year the cats choose one member of the tribe to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a new life. Victoria makes her way through the tribe learning the mysterious ways of the Jellicle, whilst discovering her own new sense of self.

Hawthorne College is settling into the holiday season. Most students are leaving for the break and a select few have chosen to stay behind. The remaining coeds find themselves in the middle of a black magic-infused conspiracy, as sorority sisters are captured and presumed murdered by an unknown stalker. Though the killer is a formidable threat, having spent decades on a murderous rampage, he is no match for this generation’s spirit and determination to survive. Finally, the murderer has met his match, he has messed with the wrong sisters.

Exploring Meatless Options with Gardein

Plant-based diets which were once met with skepticism are slowly becoming the norm for more and more people across the globe. Aside from the obvious health benefits, going without animal flesh for a few times a week could significantly impact our environment and end world hunger. While we aren’t quite ready to give up wings and things for good we are open to having one or two meatless meals a week. Luckily brands like Gardein are stepping up to the challenge and creating products to encourage carnivores to enjoy more plant-based meals.

Greenwich Wine + Food Festival celebrated its 9th year on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The annual event combines food with philanthropy as a portion of all proceeds go to charitable causes. This year, the main beneficiary is Connecticut based, Food Rescue US. Founded by lifelong friends Jeff Schacher and Kevin Mullins, Food Rescue has become a leader in reducing food waste and hunger in the U.S. Food Rescue’s app makes giving back easier, by connecting volunteers with sources of surplus food and organizations that feed the hungry. With participation in over 10 states and the latest technology Food Rescue has delivered over 6.8 million meals. In addition to the Food Rescue, the Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation is also a beneficiary for this year’s event.

BlueFall by Andrew Trainor (Book Review)

The year is 2045 and most people have abandoned the usual gaming system to adopt a virtual gaming world. Circus the VR World is an escape from reality offering a playground of new and exciting experiences. The virtual world starts as a normal pastime but soon evolves into a real-world crisis. The gameplay is dependent on a virtual currency which leads players to crippling addiction, criminal activity and a disconnect from society as they try to keep their fantasy personas intact. When the founder of Circus is murdered in cold blood, the virtual world and its robust economy are shaken, which could mean disastrous results in the real world. Grizzled detective Julian Ambrose is tasked with finding the killer, having lost his own family to the addictive game’s real-life consequences. Will Ambrose uncover the truth and save humanity or will he succumb to the virtual world’s charms and leave behind his tragic past.
