Last night, celebrities gathered for a major Paris fashion event hosted by H&M and Isabel Marant. Audrey Tautou, January Jones, Freida Pinto, Alek Wek, Olga Kurylenko, and Isabel Marant and other celebrities entered the red carpet. During the evening, the collection was presented in a cinematic setting that mixed images, films and models. The live music performance by Grandmaster Melle Mel and Rappers Delight, originally of Sugarhill Gang, lifted the atmosphere of this bohemian style party inspired by the early 90s.
Before yesterday’s awards ceremony, Variety + Women In Film and Yoplait Greek hosted a Pre-Emmy Party at Scarpetta at Montage Beverly Hills, feted this year’s female Emmy nominees.

This year, the New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF) celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary. The first film of the festival, La Mission, was a hit with the fans and industry. We attended the after party festivities at Havana Central, where the entire cast came out to celebrate. We spotted Benjamin Bratt, Erika Alexander, Jeremy Ray Valdez, Jesse Borrego and Talisa Soto Bratt and other celebrities including Actress Jill Hennessy and TV personality Jared Cotter and Radio Personality Dee Vazquez, with a performance by Bad Boy Recording Artist Donnie Klang.
XOJOHN joined the Epiphany team and New York Magazine for yet another wonderful SoBe Friday event. We must say, it gets better each time. This edition featured indoor miniature golf (very cool) and wonderful food by Café Habana. The cocktail of the evening; Ron Zacapa Rum which bartenders infused with 0-Cal Fuji Apple Pear SoBe Lifewater. SoBe Lifewater Summer Fridays is the best thing to happen to New York City! Complementary spa treatments and food, what more could anyone ask for? JSD attended the soiree held at Stephan Weiss Studio (owned by Donna Karen) with high expectations and they did not disappoint. The Summer Fridays event featured an in-door drive-in movie theater where guest got a sneak preview of the Spike Lee directed film “Passing Strange: The Movie”. Classic Car Club provided the eye catching and very flashy convertibles for the drive-in. We arrived just in time to check out the flick and we were impressed. The best place to be last weekend to get a glimpse of your favorite football stars was ESPN The Magazine’s 6th Annual NFL Pre-Draft Party on Friday. New York City’s ESPACE housed the highly exclusive event sponsored by Svedka Vodka, Snickers, Coors Light, Muscle Milk, and Geico and was packed wall to wall with elite personalities in the entertainment and sports worlds.
Those who graced the stunning scene included Deion Sanders, Ryan Grant of the Green Bay Packers, Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings, the Arizona Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald, Brandon Jacobs and Osi Umenyiora of the New York Giants, and Michael Strahan (with girlfriend Nicole Murphy). A few of Hollywood’s own players weren’t to be left out of the festivities either. Idris Elba, Michael Ealy, Laz Alfonso, Kim Kardashian, Adrienne Bailon, Kid Cudi, Fat Joe, DJ Clue, D Woods formerly of Danity Kane, Whitney Thompson of America’s Next Top Model also made appearances.
The legendary and sexy DJ Spinderella provided the musical selections right before Brandon Jacobs introduced Fabolous to the crowd for a live performance. NFL prospects from Aaron Curry to Donald Brown surrounded the stage to get an earful of the rap star’s greatest hits.
The 2009 NFL Draft took place at Radio City Music Hall Saturday and Sunday. Newly eligible players, mostly from different colleges, were selected by teams in the league to fulfill their ultimate dream of going to the NFL.

Last night in NYC, Sony and Paper Magazine threw a big bash to celebrate Fashion Week and the world’s lightest 8-inch Notebook, the Sony Vaio Lifestyle PC. The night featured opportunities to meet with Paper Mag’s Fashion Week Bloggers and designers as they reveal their custom window displays. DJ Benajmin Cho provided the music. Our favorite part of the evening was The Sony VAIO Mannequins (see a video of them in action below). They walked around the Sony Style Store posing with the stylish notebooks, sometimes in sync. It was very entertaining to watch and even more hilarious to watch the guest try their hardest to make them laugh. Some succeed, many fail. The Mannequins were dressed by Ralph Pucci.
