Over the weekend, we headed out to the amazing beautiful Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, New York for the James Beard Foundation‘s 27^th annual Chefs & Champagne summer fundraiser. One of our favorite events of the year. This year, the foundation honored multiple James Beard Foundation Award–winning chef, author and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson. More than 1,000 filled the outdoor tent for a night of philanthropy, music, laughs, delicious cuisines from over 35 prestigious chefs, plus endless bubbly and wines from Wölffer Estate Vineyard and Champagne Barons de Rothschild.

Best Dish: Robalo Rayados (Striped Bass) Enchilada is not your typical enchilada. Union Cantina serves it up as a deconstructed style with a few layers of the soft enchilada mixed with a crispy tostada style shell and flavors including queso blanco cheese, cucumber, avocado and their house enchilada sauce, which make this decadent dish worth biting into and saving all your room.

Summer is approaching, which means Chefs & Champagne is upon us. The annual fundraiser and tasting party, thrown by The James Beard Foundation (JBF), will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, New York. This is one event not to be missed. During Chefs & Champagne guests are treated to an amazing culinary experience from more than 40 chefs, beverage masters, and artisanal purveyors. There is always a lot of Champagne and Wölffer Estate wines flowing through the magical evening.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) is the world’s leading philanthropic organization funding and accelerating prostate cancer research. The organization has raised more than $660 million and provided funding to more than 2,000 research programs at more than 200 cancer centers and universities. Over the weekend, PCF hosted its annual gala at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, NY. The event’s Challenge Research Award raised over $3.5 million in support of the foundation’s work. The gala supported the 12^th Annual Charles Evans PCF Pro-Am Tennis Tournament, named after the successful entrepreneur who constantly turned tragic events throughout his life into philanthropic causes.

12th Annual A Hamptons Happening Benefiting #SWCRF

The 12^th Annual A Hamptons Happening marked the 40^th Anniversary of the founding of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) by noted oncologist and cancer researcher Samuel Waxman, MD. The event is one of the most attended events in the Hamptons where guests gather to celebrate such an amazing organization. The benefit took place at the residence of Maria and Kenneth Fishel and hosted 40 of the top chefs and restaurants in New York City and the Hamptons. CBS 2 News anchor Chris Wragge served as the host for the 6th consecutive year, while Sandra Lee received honors for her charitable work. Other honorees included New York Times best-selling author and breast cancer survivor; Jayma Cardoso, Founder of the Surf Lodge in Montauk; and Deirdre Quinn, CEO of the luxury fashion company Lafayette 148 New York.
