enCourage Kids Foundation hosts their Serving Up Smiles Food Tasting

On Tuesday, October 22, our friends at the enCourage Kids Foundation hosted their Serving Up Smiles premier tasting event with over 300 plus guests at Current in Chelsea Piers. The event combined philanthropy and good food as chefs from all over the city provided food and beverage and guests bid on spectacular items via silent auction. The tasting included dishes from some of the tri-state area’s finest restaurants. Some of the best dishes of the evening included sumptuous Sea scallops and slow-braised short ribs crostini from Ocean Prime, Meatballs with whipped ricotta from Lavo, Lobster Rolls from lamia’s Fish Market, and Ribeye and Mac n Cheese from Ben & Jack’s Steakhouse. It was definitely the place to be for delicious food.

TwitchCon 2019 Descends on San Diego

In its fifth year, TwitchCon landed in San Diego after being held a prior year in 2016 here, gathering more than 25,000 Twitch streamers a day from 36 countries, according to Twitch officials, from around the world, many who meet at TwitchCon for the first time. Twitch is a popular gaming streaming service and includes opportunities for Twitch user to attend panels, network, walk the expo hall, compete and party with fellow streamers. Twitch’s motto? One of our favorite charitable festivals will be returning this weekend, The 2019 Greenwich Wine + Food Festival presented by PepsiCo. This year’s festival will benefit Food Rescue US and the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation Foundation. This marks the ninth year of the annual event. The 2019 Greenwich Wine + Food Festival will take place on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, CT.
