Netflix’s show, Stranger Things, is not slated to return until next year, but fans can still quench their thirst for the hit show by checking out the first-ever pop-up shops. They will be located in New York City’s Times Square and at The Americana at Brand in Los Angeles. The shops will immerse fans in a world of supernatural mystery, enduring friendships, and 80s nostalgia in a one-of-a-kind celebration of the Stranger Things universe. Both stores will open on Stranger Things Day, November 6, 2021.

Global Lyme Alliance (GLA) NYC Gala has returned for the foundation’s fifth annual fundraiser. The charitable affair has raised an impressive $2.5 million. The event was hosted by Rosanna Scotto, co-host of FOX 5’s “Good Day New York”. Global Lyme Alliance is dedicated to conquering Lyme and other tick-borne diseases through research, education, awareness, and patient services. The gala was produced by event planner Larry Scott of Lawrence Scott Events, who donated his event planning and design services towards the Global Lyme Alliance’s New York Gala for the fifth consecutive year.

U.S. NARRATIVE COMPETITION
Tribeca’s U.S. Narrative Competition showcases extraordinary work from breakout independent voices and distinguished filmmaking talent. These ten world premieres will vie for the Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Last year, the award for Best Narrative Feature went to Kent Jones’ Diane while Jeffrey Wright was awarded Best Actor for his role in O.G. Other previous films from this section include Reed Morano’s Meadowland (2015), Ingrid Jungermann’s Women Who Kill (2016), and Nia DaCosta’s Little Woods (2018).
The Grungy Gentleman show celebrated New York City, and the fusion of contemporary culture and style, in sports, music, and entertainment, with Bronx-native hip-hop icon Jim Jones from Dipset opening the show, followed by Michael Beasley (NY Knicks), Tye Smith (Tennessee Titans) and Isaiah Pead, former NFL player who lost his leg in a car accident in 2016, who closed the show as guests cheered him on down the runway.
