On January 23rd, hip-hop legend and weight loss advocate, Fat Joe, performed at an event celebrating the winners from Let’s Move! Newark: Our Power (LM!NOP), a program created by Behavioral Health & Fitness Expert, Jeff Halevy, to fight childhood obesity. After improving his lifestyle, Fat Joe has recently lost over 100 pounds and chose to be a part of Halevy’s Let’s Move! Newark: Our Power to encourage our youth to follow his success.
During the winter months, we often remain indoors for extended periods of time and most people quickly resort to slippers with little to no foot support. Standing for long periods of time on hard surfaces without proper support can lead to pain. Further, the cold worsens foot health because muscles are constricted and tight leading to foot and lower body pain all the way up to our lower backs. Getting out of bed first thing in the morning in these conditions can sometimes lead to a shooting pain in the heel, either a sign of heel spurs or worse, planter’s fasciitis.
Yesterday at Pier 57 in New York City, Ashley and MaryKate Olsen and fellow JCPenney design partners Cindy Crawford, Martha Stewart and Nanette Lepore joined JCPenney CEO Ron Johnson and President Michael Francis for the official unveiling of the brand’s fresh new look!
