10 Cocktails You Should Try for the 4th of July

With Fourth of July just a few days away, we have complied our list of a few summer time cocktails that will be perfect for the 4th of July holiday weekend.Whether you’re spending the holiday barbequing by the pool, lighting bonfires on the beach, or watching fireworks, they can sip easy with these patriotic and summer-inspired cocktails from Disaronno, Malibu Rum and Kahlúa.

Disaronno (In order from left to right)

Disaronno Summertime

¾ part DISARONNO

1 part Vodka

2 parts Cranberry juice

Ginger ale

Method Pour ingredients over ice, top with ginger ale

Disaronno Cocoban

1½ parts DISARONNO

2 parts Colada mix

2 spoons Vanilla ice cream

½ Fresh banana

Whipped cream

Method Mix all ingredients in a blender with ice and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with whipped cream and a banana slice.

Disaronno Blue Heaven

½ part DISARONNO

1 part Dark rum ½ part Blue curaçao

3 parts Pineapple juice

½ Fresh lime

Method Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with pinapple leaves.

Malibu Rum

.75 parts Blue Curacao

.75 parts Malibu Coconut Rum

.75 parts Campari

In a shot glass layer Blue Curacao, then Malibu and then Campari on the top for a very Patriotic-looking shooter or sipper.

2 parts Malibu Island Spiced

1.5 parts lemon lime soda

1.5 parts cranberry juice

Build over ice. Stir and serve.

Malibu Red Fireworks

1 part Malibu Red
2 parts orange juice
1 splash of grenadine
1 orange wedge/zest

Pour Malibu and orange juice over ice in a highball glass. Add a splash of grenadine. Garnish with an orange wedge or zest.

Kahlúa

Kahlua Mai Tai

1 oz Kahlúa

1 oz Absolut Vodka

1/2 oz fresh lime juice

1/2 oz fresh orange juice

Float pineapple juice

Float Kahlúa

In tumbler filled with crushed ice, build ingredients, float a dash of pineapple juice and a float of Kahlúa (again) on top of cocktail. Garnish with mint.

Kahlúa Root Beer Float

2 parts Kahlúa

3 parts premium root beer

Vanilla ice cream optional

Build over ice. Stir and serve.

Just toast a marshmallow, allow to cool, scoop out the center, pour in your favorite Kahlúa flavor, and add a mini chocolate bar garnish.

Kahlúa B&W Pops

1 package of prepared instant vanilla pudding*

1 ounce Kahlúa

2 ounces Absolut Vodka

1 ounce irish cream liqueur

*For Black Russian pops, use chocolate pudding, omit the Irish cream liqueur, and use 2 ounces of Kahlúa

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and process until smooth, about 1-2minutes. Pour into a popsicle mold (you can find these at any supermarket or variety store) and freeze for about an hour or until mixture starts to solidify enough to hold a popsicle stick upright. Insert popsicle sticks and finish freezing popsicles overnight. To release popsicles ,run hot water on the outside of popsicle molds for a 5-7 seconds. Makes 8-12 popsicles.

15ml / ¼ oz Simple Syrup

20ml / ½ oz Lemon Juice

6 Raspberries

Dash Egg White

Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a raspberry.

2oz Belvedere Pink Grapefruit

¾ oz Lillet Blanc

¾ oz Pink grapefruit juice

1 dash sugar syrup

Shake and strain into a wine glass willed with crushed ice

1.5 oz Belvedere Lemon Tea

½ almond syrup

¾ oz lemon juice

3 oz green tea

Build over ice and garnish with a lemon wedge

Pitcher Recipe

375ml Belvedere Lemon Tea

100ml Almond Syrup

175ml Lemon juice

700ml Green tea

Add all ingredients to a pitcher or punch bowl over ice

Garnish with lemon and blueberries
