Korean-born
Yang’s pieces were modern, simple and feminine, utilizing lace, fur, silk, ruffles and velvet, and realized with knee length dresses, sheer blouses and lace overlayed suit pants and blazer combos. Standouts also featured long, sweeping skirts, a staple seen among this season’s top collections.
Yang utilized a variety of colors including emerald, violet, white, red and grays to create an artistic palette throughout the collection, including draped necklines.
To further set the background and ambiance for the collection, “The Bella,” Yung hired string quartet Civil Twilight to play the runway music, which made for a well-paced show and allowed each garment to stand out. The ambiance was also realized with candles from Greenleaf Gifts which lined the stairwell to the show and throughout the space, lighting the night in quiet calm while super storm Nemo raged outside.
