Yuna
The impetus for YUNA’s vision is a reflection of the central female character in the book and novel ‘Water for Elephants’, Marlena. In fact, the intricate detail of the bead work and how they enhance the color of the fabric honors the shining star in Marlena. It was a breathtaking display that undoubtedly captured the essence of the 1930’s sensuality. I would buy the entire collection.
The Boatneck Ribbon-Tie Top with The Silk Crepe Palazzo Pants was innovatively designed and chic. The crystal beading details on the back of the Lemon Yellow Crinkle dress deserved applause and the Silk Crepe Two-Toned Bow Jacket with pants were blazing hot! And as I looked at the Russian Blue Dress, I was at a loss of words observing the hand-stitched pleats and beaded patch.
The show stoppers, however, were the last three red carpet savvy numbers. And since Reese Witherspoon stole our hearts with her portrayal of Marlena, let’s take her out of the circus and on to the red carpet. Firstly, the sky-blue Stretch Charmuse Dress with Hand-beaded patch was a mysterious piece of beauty that she would work brilliantly at the SAG Awards. The French Handmade Gold Trim Dress with hand-stitched Silk Tulle is a magnificent piece of elegance that will undeniably have Reese dazzle at the Golden Globes. But my favorite and the one that will take your breath away is the Hand Pleated Silk Chiffon Dress with Hand Beaded Patch. Reese would be the envy at the Academy Awards gliding gently in this ultimate dress.
