The time has finally come to pack away our legwarmers and work on our sea legs. Boating season has commenced and the various piers around the city are full of great opportunities to enjoy the warmer weather on the water. We took the season’s inaugural voyage last week aboard the Yacht Manhattan II one of Classic Harbor Line newest vessels. The ship is docked at the gorgeous pier 62 of Chelsea Piers. The Yacht Manhattan II also hosted our last voyage of 2015, which was a weekend brunch cruise. This time, we chose the sunset Yacht Cruise, a 1.75-hour cruise through the Hudson and east river.
The Great Gatsby inspired Yacht Manhattan II is 100 Feet long and can host up to 100 guests comfortably. The interior is warm and inviting with lush green and gold tones and luxurious seating. We took in the harbor in style, sipping signature cocktails and sampling an assortment of gourmet treats from the ship’s galley. Though the interior offers great views of the floating scenery one of the best seats in the house is out on the deck taking in the magnificent Manhattan skyline. This cruise takes you around the city and offers glimpses at a few historical highlights including the South Street Seaport, the Brooklyn Bridge and of course our dear lady liberty.
In addition to the sunset and Brunch cruises, Classic Harbor Line offers several other theme cruises including a fourth of July cruise, a Gay Pride cruise, and a few food tasting tours. For a complete list of cruises and how to order your tickets visit www.sail-nyc.com.
