Women’s Health brought together health enthusiasts and philanthropists over the weekend for a day of wellness. It all started at the beautiful “Well-thy” home, where Laura Ferrer-Schmidt, Publisher of Women’s Health greeted us as we got ready for a fun-filled day. The Well-thy home is a gorgeous wooden abode, located in the heart of Montauk, NY. Several of the classes and demos took place here and were taught by top nutritionists, trainers, and chefs.
The morning started with a moment of Zen, courtesy of Mandy Ingber, who led the rooftop yoga class. Later in the day, fitness guru Heidi Powell got us all sweating and moving during her “Bikini Booty Mission” class. We sure did work up an appetite. Luckily, Chef Greg Frey Jr. was on hand to serve up his signature Farm-to-Table eats. Frey and Chef Dave Martin whipped up a delicious hearty meal which included veggies and dead bird.
After lunch, guests enjoyed another relaxing moment as a world-renowned photographer, James Houston, introduced us to MindSpaceDesign. The most important thing I took from the Houston session was how making small changes to the home can improve your life. Over the next few weeks, I plan on incorporating Houston’s ideas and transform my living space. Spending the morning at the Well-thy home was a pleasant experience. I left feeling refreshed and knowledgeable about living a better life.
Later that night, guests headed over to Bridgehampton’s Tennis & Surf Club to Party Under The Stars. This is one of the Hampton’s biggest parties of the year. Women’s Heath partners with The Feed Foundation to kick off the charity face initiative RUN 10 FEED 10. The initiative is a race series to help motivate consumers nationwide to help fight domestic hunger. Races are scheduled to take place in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. Head over to their website for more information. There were also women’s cosmetics kiosks giving samples of creams, lotions, and potions. Some were more inspiring than others, and I manage to snatch a bottle of cream for the booty. Check out the booty pop reviews here for more information.
Party Under The Stars was hosted by Amy Keller Laird, Laura Ferrer-Schmidt, and Lauren Bush Lauren. The celebration included a live Reggae band, silent auction to benefit the FEED Foundation, a beach bonfire, cocktails, bites, a DJ set by Taryn Manning, and so much more. Notables like Rosario Dawson, Laura Prepon, Singer Zee, Molly Sims, and Adrienne Bailon, to name a few were seen enjoying themselves. It was a delightful evening for a great cause.
