The Holiday Season had its official Kick-off in Bryant Park this week with a splendid event that encompassed the entire park.
Guests were first treated to cocktails and canapés at Celsius, the glass-enclosed, two-story restaurant, lounge bar. This seasonal venue has spectacular views of Bryant Park, the Citi Pond and The Holiday Tree Plaza. Celsius is the perfect place for a Holiday themed party. Its sparkly winter white décor will put any Grinch in a festive mood.
Attendees were also given a map to shop at featured stores at The Holiday Shops in Bryant Park. Going into its 11th season the Holiday Shops at Bryant Park have become a must-shop destination for truly unique artisan gifts. Hundreds of retailers apply for space every year but only 120 are chosen by the selection committee. The Holiday Shops are a roster of retailers from around the world that offer shoppers – stylish fashion for men, women, and kids, Eco-conscious products and one of a kind items from The Artist’s Studio.

The literal centerpiece of the evening was the chance to ice skate at the Citi Pond. Party-goers were given VIP access at to the only free admission ice skating rink in Manhattan. In the 8 years since Citi Pond was first built, it has become one of NYC’s most treasured winter destinations. You can enjoy an evening spinning under the stars with friends, family, or that special someone. It is also available to rent for group events and offers a schedule of free activities throughout the winter season.
