Walter Baker presented his W118 Spring/Summer 13 Collection in the Box at the Lincoln Center during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Upon entering the box, I found models standing in a V-shape formation, which served to divide the collection into 2 parts: Spring and summer.
The left or spring half was dainty in lace and linen in colors of pale blue, pale yellow and white. The heaviest piece on the Spring side of the “v” was a must-have denim blue ombre jacket.
The right or summer half of the collection was bold and colorful. Lots of color blocking in vibrant colors of tangerine, cerulean, fuchsia and loud patterns in kelly green and yellow.
Several models carried coordinating Walter Baker handbags and each model donned large oversized headphones. With models bobbing their heads and some even mouthing the lyrics to dance versions of popular songs, this presentation felt more like a summer soiree!
