Urban Tech held their 2014 Gala at Three Sixty Degrees. This year’s gala was hosted by E! News correspondent Alicia Quarles and CBS’s Maurice DuBois. The evening was full of inspiration as guests were able to support the organization by bidding on premium auction items during both the silent and live auctions. Proceeds from the evening helped expand Urban Tech’s Adopt-a-School Program, which offers individuals and corporations the opportunity to personally connect with schools and have a significant impact on the education of thousands of disadvantaged youth by providing a slew of much-needed resources.
Distinguished honorees for the night included actor Hill Harper who received the Humanitarian Award. Other honorees went to Christopher J. Williams, Chairman, CEO, and Founder of The Williams Capital Group, L.P. and Williams Capital Management, LLC, for the Corporate Leadership Award; Kimberly B. Davis, Managing Director at Teneo Strategy, for the Community Service Award; and Stephen M. Coan, Ph.D. for the Educational Leadership Award.
After a lavish dinner, guests were treated to dessert and a live DJ set by Mel Debarge.
