Attended by bloggers and several other media outlets guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails courtesy of Don Julio as well as passing edibles on metrocard adorned plates. The drink of the evening was the “Ghetty”, a refreshing combination of pineapple juice Don Julio Tequila and rosemary. We were also invited to partake in what is termed a” luxury drop” the latest form of traditional tequila shots. Created by top mixologists the “Drop” incorporats elements like agave nectar with the usual lime and tequila for what amounts to a delicious mini cocktail.
Guests were also treated to a watch a neon colored street drumming performance that wowed the crowd with several sets on his makeshift drum kit of plastic bucket and pieces of the celebrated luggage. In addition to the endless cocktails and amazing live performances, a fab DJ guests made their own digital graffitti on the open brick walls of the space. Utilizing a projector, a laptop and a “pointer” brave attendees took turns tagging the space in their own words.
