Straw Hat Restaurant at Frangipani Beach Resort
Serving hungry island visitors since 1996, Straw Hat has gone on to be named one of the ’50 Hot New Restaurants in the World’ by Conde Nast Traveler, making it one of the most popular places to satisfy your appetite on Anguilla. With an at-home relaxed atmosphere, you can kick back and enjoy excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner options served by the restaurant’s friendly and welcoming staff. In addition to unmatched natural beauty at every turn you make, this restaurant gives its guests a true Anguillan experience from the moment you walk through the doors to the last bite of your chosen dish. Not just a restaurant, this 17,000-square-foot structure also features reception areas for parties as well as business conferences on its second floor. In other words, they simply have it all!
Owned by Chef Carrie Bogar from New York since 2006, Veya Restaurant has quickly become quite the success on Anguilla. Open Monday through Friday only for dinner, enjoy a long and tasteful wine list as well as first course, second course and dessert menus guaranteed to please any palate. A short ferry ride away, Scilly Cay is a tiny coral based island in the village of Island Harbour and ironically enough, is the name of the daytime restaurant located there. Try their World Famous Rhum Punch for your beverage and pair it with one of only four meal options…chicken, lobster, crayfish and fish! Simple and delicious is their motto and with fantastic reviews on what they are all about here, it seems to be working for them!
On the hunt for true Caribbean food with the option for other international cuisines? Head over to E’s Oven where they specialize in just that! Located on Rendezvous Road in the heart of the before mentioned Sandy Ground, the friendly staff is sure to welcome you in and educate you on what the most popular dishes are and what beverages to pair with them if you are curious. One of the many great things about this restaurant is its location where you can enjoy fun activities and other shops nearby either before, after or both when making E’s Oven your dining option of choice.
