If all you know of Hooters is tight t-shirts and orange hotpants you are doing your taste buds a grave injustice. From shareable appetizers to decadent desserts you can satisfy your comfort food cravings here.  The first Hooters opened over 30 years ago and since then over 400 locations have been opened across the globe. We visited their New York City location on 33rd Street for a meal and a few drinks. This location is equipped with two dining rooms, a small gift shop and several mounted flat screen TVs. The screens are positioned to allow a good view of the game from any seat in the house. We’ve enjoyed plenty of meals at Hooters over the years but we rarely stray from the usual wings and fries. For our visit, however, we indulged our curiosity and had some lesser-known dishes.

Super Bowl Wings and Cocktail by Danny Bowien

by xoJohn

Danny Bowien, the “2013 James Beard Rising Star Chef” appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for a Mexican-themed food and cocktail demo featuring, what else, Danny’s infamous “Mole Chicken Wings” and “Dirty Caliche Horchata”! Before biting into, what Fallon refers to as, “the best wing he’s ever had,” Danny invites Jimmy and Questlove to chug a trio of “sake bombs” with a Mexican twist – by dropping shots of the new Caliche rum into his homemade horchata and shots of the new Caliche Rum.
