Sally Lapointe presented her Spring 2011 collection on Sunday, September 12 at the Chelsea Art Museum. The raw space, complemented by large cement bricks marked the runway for the models which almost felt as if it were a contemporary installation. The audience was seated in a theatrical fashion with chairs set up around various areas of the space, not just on the typical two sides so it felt like a performance. She described the 23-look collection as “a mix of beauty and distortion, inspired by the intoxication of accepting madness.”
