Cast: Marcel Spears, Billy Eugene Jones, Nikki Crawford, and Calvin Leon Smith

Broadway’s latest gem is a story of Southern-fried grief, relief, pain, and joy with a sprinkle of Shakespeare. Fat Ham is a comedic adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic tale of revenge “Hamlet.” In this wildly creative version, The Prince of Denmark is presented as “Juicy” a queer college student living at home with his mother and uncle aka his new stepfather. Restaurant Review: Sweet Catch Brooklyn

by xoJohn

Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn has a new gem everyone should check out. It’s called Sweet Catch and it brings the flavors of the Carolinas to New York City. The new hot spot is the brainchild of Ka-Wana Jefferson, a Bronx native, who has a passion for good culinary experiences. I stopped by on a beautiful Saturday morning for Brunch and was immediately captivated by the serene environment as you opened the doors. The space is decorated with a southern style decor and hosts many photos which showcase black culinary history and Heritage.
