The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival officially kicked off on Wednesday, April 24th. Since opening night, many stars, producers, directors, crew, and movie buffs celebrated various films at their after parties. While on the scene, we’ve spotted actors like Elijah Woods, Queen Latifah, Margot Robbie, Billy Crystal, and so much more. Check out our epic recap below:

Ainsworth Chelsea was the sight for the Standing Up, Falling Down after party, hosted by Nespresso. Guests included Billy Crystal, Ben Schwartz, Eloise Mumford, Caitlin McGee, Debra Monk, Mike Carlsen, Nik Sadhani, Nathan James, Hassan Johnson, and Jim Santangeli.

On Saturday, 1 OAK hosted the final night of their Art Basel pop-up at Miami Beach hotspot, Rockwell. During the unforgettable night, Nas performed and surprised the crowd by bringing out special guest Diddy.

During the high energy performance, Nas had all partygoers on their feet as he performed hits including “It Ain’t Hard to Tell”, “Hate me Now”, “One Mic”, “If I Ruled the World”, “Made You Look” and “Oochie Wally”. Notable guests included- Flo Rida, Venus Williams, DJ Cassidy, Johnny Manziel, and Daryl McDaniels of RUN DMC.

Tribeca Films Acquires ‘Time Is Illmatic’

Coming off the heels of it’s Tribeca Film Festival opening night debut, Tribeca Film announced that the company is acquiring North American rights to One9’s Time Is Illmatic, which had its world premiere as the opening night of the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. The documentary is directed by multimedia artist, One9, written by Erik Parker and produced by One9, Parker, and Anthony Saleh. It follows the trajectory of Nas’ 1994 landmark debut album, Illmatic— widely considered one of the most important and revolutionary albums in hip-hop.
