DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS 17^th annual DINING BY DESIGN tour (one of our favorites to attend), which is running concurrently with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, featured their annual COCKTAILS BY DESIGN at Pier 94 in New York City. In case you didn’t know, DIFFA is one of the largest funders of HIV/AIDS service and education programs in the United States. Since being founded in 1984, DIFFA has mobilized the immense resources of the design communities to provide over $40 million to hundreds of AIDS service organizations nationwide. For 30 years, DIFFA has been one of the country’s largest supporters of both direct care for people living with AIDS and preventative education for those at risk.

Fine Dining the DIFFA Way

Last week’s DIFFA event was an amazing charity event which raised funds for AIDS research. The installments prepared for the evening were created by an eclectic mix of interior designers who worked hard to create fanciful and chic dining experiences. Each of the setups had a unique personality all its own and will likely inspire more than a few attendees to spruce up their homes. Though many were presented here are our favorite personalities:

The world’s sweetest executive has finally earned her own museum. If you paid any attention to the Superbowl ads then your are familiar with Ms. Brown, the latest M&M character. Unlike her counterparts Ms Brown’s back story includes an ivy league education as well as a title, she is the “Chief Chocolate Officer”. Her fascinating story is displayed in art at a pop up gallery in NYC’s affluent Soho district.
