Mara Hoffman’s Fall 2013 collection featured a wide range of colorful pieces, which drew obvious inspiration from bright African colors and tribal patterns.
Many of the pieces seemed more inspired for Summer rather than for the cooler months. Along with the first dress, a short shift dress with mandarin and grapefruit coloring, there were also a handful of other floor length gowns that had bright coloring and fun detail.
What started off as a seemingly unfinished and dull collection, Katya Leonovich’s Fall 2013 show proved to have some interesting, and even captivating pieces.
The first four outfits were dull and made from the same see-thru blue. They appeared to be more like craft projects than actual clothes. They simply were not wearable for the runway nor for the ready-to-wear demographic.
Breathtaking and luxurious. The award-winning Malaysia-native designer, Zang Toi presented another stupendous collection for this season, which was held at Stage at Lincoln Center on Wednesday, February 13th. 
The well-heeled set braved the start of Nemo and headed over to the tents at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week to see Monika Chiang’s Fall/Winter 13 Presentation. Inspired by a recurring dream where Chiang is running, along with photographs of birds in flight, the collection was military and aviator focused.
Even though Alexandre Herchcovitch’s Fall 2013 collection read more Spring than Winter/Fall, his collection was one of the standouts during New York Fashion Week.
Held in Milk Studios, the ceremony began with three red silk pieces. The first was a simple dress and easy to digest, similar to that of a lovable bridesmaid gown. The second was a blood orange tank and pant combo, which while slightly exposing the midriff, maintained a casual yet classic appeal. The third was a dress of a deep red and it set off the tone for the rest of the collection. The construction was asymmetrical to one side, while paying acute attention to detail.
Illumination was the theme for MILLY’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on February 13 at The Stage at Lincoln Center in New York City. Inspired by nighttime urban landscapes, MILLY founder and designer, Michelle Smith made big city lights come alive by combining photorealistic prints, glistening charcoals, and metallic blacks along with innovative fabrics and textures. The result is a sophisticated collection that’s on-trend with a modern take on classic silhouettes.
The most appropriate fashion collection of the season goes to Christian Siriano. Just one day after a blizzard swept through New York City, the “Project Runway” winner took us to a Russian winter wonderland with his fall 2013 collection.
As millions tuned into the Grammy awards red carpet show, huge crowds packed Milk Studios in Chelsea to check out Carlos Campos fall/winter 2013 – including superstar Carmelo Anthony.
