Sugar,
The show began with a greeting from the Wizard of Oz and a ballerina dancing on pointe along the runway. Cute, toe-tapping music such as “Hey Mambo,” “It’s a Hard Knock Life,” and “ABC” from the Jackson 5 highlighted the 21 looks Landry sent out with adults and children of every age range from infants to even sleeping toddlers and older tots. The looks included a variety of styles from gowns to pajama sets aptly named (Lullaby and Peek a Boo), onesies (Sugar Cone, Sweet Tea), rompers (June Bug Porch Swing) and swing dresses (Cupcake, Lazy Day and Bees Knees).
Celebrities including Denise Richards, Alex McCord and Victoria Recano also walked the runway and the audience laughed and smiled over the unpredictable tots’ behavior such as blowing kisses to the audience, raising arms to wave at various people in the audience and bouncing along the runway. It was a true gem during the middle of a packed schedule to remind us of the carefree nature of childhood. –Alyson S. Campbell
