Pennsylvania is the new home to Stuffed Puffs new plant. The new 150,000 square foot facility is expected to bring more than 130 jobs to the area, according to Stuffed Puffs founder Mike Tierney. The building, located at 3900 Burgess Place in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania was formerly home to Guardian Life Insurance. J.G. Petrucci, began demolition and construction at the site in Q1 2019.
To celebrate the opening, DJ Marshmello was the special guests at the ribbon-cutting ceremony where guests enjoyed Stuffed Puffs’ treats and beverages. Guests included Moe Shalizi, Dennis Davin (Secretary of Community and Economic Dev of PA), Don Cunningham (Pres and CEO of the LV Ecom Dev Corp), and Jim Petrucci to name a few. In case you didn’t know, Stuffed Puffs makes marshmallows with chocolate stuffed inside. These are not your traditional marshmallows, they’re perfect for S’mores or in a delicious hot chocolate drink. After DJ Marshmello cut the ribbon, the special invite-only crowd enjoyed photo ops and a slew of sweet treats from the popular marshmallow brand.
The Ribbon Cutting
“Stuffed Puffs will be available at retailers across the U.S. in the next year. The Lehigh Valley offers great incentives for companies to build here,” said Tierney. “With my partners, Richard Thompson and Marshmello, our plan is to have this new plant up and running quickly to meet demand. Meanwhile, Stuffed Puffs’ existing plant in Wisconsin is running 24/7 to satisfy America’s new-found craving for S’mores Indoors™.” Although the warehouse was still under construction during the opening, it is expected to open in July 2020.
