Steve Madden, the legend behind one of America’s top shoe and lifestyle brands, stopped by Macy’s flagship store in Manhattan’s Herald Square to meet and shop with shoe enthusiast. Guests snagged face time with the footwear magnate and pose for photos while he autographs branded tees and tote bags.
The special evening was hosted by TV personality, Julissa Bermudez, of the Style Network’s hit-series Empire Girls. Electric tunes spun throughout the store by New York-based fashion DJ May Kwok.
Considered the pioneer in creative shoe design and lifestyle branding in the 21st century, Steve Madden has given young, fashion-forward men and women a unique way to express their individuality through style for the past two decades. Madden’s iconic designs will continue to be showcased on a grand scale as part of Macy’s Herald Square’s brand new Shoe Salon debuting this Fall, with 150 styles on display, 35 of which are exclusive to Macy’s. The ground-breaking space will become the world’s largest shoe floor, housing 300,000 pairs of shoes by hundreds of top designers and spanning over 63,000 square feet, making the second floor shoe department the “must shop” destination this season.
