If you’re hosting a fun Halloween party or just looking to channel your inner mixologist, we have a few cocktails that will surely get you in the Halloween spirit. Did you know Kahlua has a delicious new flavor, appropriately called Pumpkin Spice. We enjoyed this new flavor ice cold and served in a shot glass. Malibu Black is also a favorite, with 70 proof amber rum a a hint of coconut, this is sure to put your guests in a good mood. Imagine all the fun you can have by adding a flavor to create some awesome cocktails. Let’s begin shall we:
Malibu
1 part Malibu Black
½ part pomegranate juice
Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a shot glass.
Malibu Skulls & Bones
1 part Malibu Black
1 ½ parts orange juice
1 ½ parts pineapple juice
1 ½ parts cranberry juice
Build in a pint glass with ice.
Garnish with black licorice.
Midnight Ghost
1 ½ parts Malibu Black
1 part vanilla simple syrup*
1 part cream
1 part lemon-lime soda
Shake ingredients in a shaker filled with ice,
Then strain into a martini glass.
*For vanilla simple syrup, add a few drops vanilla extract to a mixture of one part sugar and one part water
Mali-boo Mojito
1 ½ parts Malibu Black
1 part lime juice
1 part simple syrup
8-10 mint leaves
Blend all ingredients in blender with ice.
Serve in a highball glass.
Vampire Berry-Espresso Martini
1 part Kahlúa
1 part berry liqueur
Espresso coffee
Dash of agave nectar
1 raspberry- garnish
Chill a cocktail glass by pouring water over the glass and sticking in the freezer for 2 minutes.
Shake all ingredients in shaker with ice.
Strain all ingredients into the chilled cocktail glass and serve.
Add a raspberry for garnish.
Other fun and festive cocktails include:
Kahlúa Pumpkin Martini
1 ½ parts Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice
1 ½ parts ABSOLUT Vodka
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with orange zest.
Pumpkin Spice Whisky Cocktail
1 part Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice
1 ½ parts Jameson Irish Whiskey
Serve in an old-fashioned glass with a large ice cube.
Hot Buttered Cider
1.5 parts Kahlúa
2-3 parts Unfiltered apple cider
1 barspoon (tsp) of apple butter
Grated Nutmeg- garnish
Shake all ingredients in a shaker until butter dissolves.
Add ice to the shaker and shake some more.
Pour into a rocks glass.
Add some grated nutmeg on top and serve.
Kahlúa Punch
In a punch bowl, add:
1 bottle Kahlúa
½ bottle of ginger liqueur (or 1 8oz bottle of ginger syrup)
3 cups Sumatran Coffee
1 cup fresh lime juice
1 cup pineapple juice
½ bottle of dark Jamaican Rum
¾ cup Blackstrap Rum
½ cup 151 rum
3 dashes of bitters
Stir all ingredients in punch bowl.
Add ice right before serving, and pineapple wheels for garnish.
