Korean-born designer Son Jung Wan presented her Fall/Winter 2013 collection and stayed true to her dual nature of “women and how they like to dress” with a very feminine-toned collection featuring pale, neutral colors of ivory, pink and beiges while balancing sexy silhouettes with fur textures and leopard prints.
While the collection felt ultra femme, Wan balanced bolder hues of purple and color of the year- emerald- via long, flowing dresses and masculine touches with oversized jackets and blazers.
Wan also included a few men’s looks in the collection mimicing both the paler and bolder colors throughout the collection. The men’s looks included tailored suits, and a few coats with leather lining and fur accouterments.
While the collection felt a little hodgepodge with the varying contrasts of this “dual nature” Wan is known for, she seemingly unified the collection with the similar color palatte throughout and touches of fur, sequins, lace and metallic to add just the right amount of pop.
