Slate, New York City’s favorite adult playground, now has fun on the menu inside and out. The Chelsea hotspot debuted its new al fresco dining area, playfully dubbed the Penalty Box. The spacious setup is filled with high-top tables and plenty of games and an oversized moon man that’s perfect for photo ops. Slate offers an out-of-this-world array of attractions ranging from mini bowling and arcade games, to ping pong and pool. You can channel your competitive spirit with a round of Skee-Ball or an epic showdown on an 8-player foosball table. There’s even a slide to get guests from the main floor to the activity-filled level below.
This particular evening featured delicious bites like spicy tuna crispy rice, mac and cheese bites, bruschetta, and more from Executive Chef Darryl Harmon and a sampling of Slate’s signature cocktails. Guests also got to take in a special edition of Jackknife Comedy at the club to end the evening with smiles and laughter. That lineup featured Kari Burt, Dan Wilbur, Mara Wiles, Ismael Loutfi, Lizzy Cassidy, Ben Katzner, Alison Leiby, Jared Goldstein, Sam Morrison, and the night’s emcee Gabe Pacheco.
